Refund & Cancellation Policy

Important Note on Convenience Fees

Please note that the Convenience Fee charged at the time of booking is non-refundable in all cases, including cancellations by the customer, cancellations by the service provider, or force majeure events.

1. Cancellation General Terms

Every booking made on BookNewTrip is subject to cancellation charges levied by the service provider (Hotel, Airline, Tour Operator, etc.), which may vary by product and booking class. In addition to these charges, BookNewTrip may levy a separate service fee for processing the cancellation.

  • Cancellations can be made online through the "My Bookings" section or by contacting our support team.
  • Some bookings are non-refundable as per the specific provider's policy.
  • If you fail to show up (No-Show) for a booking, no refund will be applicable.

2. Product-Specific Cancellation Policies

Hotels & Homestays

Refund policies for hotels are determined by the property and the specific rate selected during booking. Generally:

  • Free cancellation usually ends 24-72 hours before the check-in date.
  • Cancellations within the "penalty window" typically incur a charge of the first night's stay or 100% of the booking value.

Holiday Packages

Since holiday packages involve multiple vendor payments in advance, the following standard charges apply:

  • 30 days or more before departure: 25% of the total package cost.
  • 15 to 30 days before departure: 50% of the total package cost.
  • Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the total package cost (No Refund).

Cabs & Local Tours

  • Cancellation 24 hours before pickup: Full refund (minus convenience fee).
  • Cancellation within 24 hours: 50% cancellation fee or a fixed charge as specified in the booking.

3. Refund Processing Timeline

Once a cancellation request is accepted and the refund amount is determined, the process follows these timelines:

*The actual time taken for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank's policies.

4. Mode of Refund

All refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used during the transaction (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI).

  • We do not provide refunds in cash or cheques.
  • In case of partial cancellation, only the corresponding prorated amount will be refunded.
  • If the booking was made using a discount code or promotional offer, the discount amount is not refundable.

Force Majeure

BookNewTrip shall not be liable to pay any refund if the booking is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, strikes, or pandemics. In such cases, refunds will only be processed if and when received from the respective service providers.
